Clutter Keeps Company

Clutter Keeps Company was a great success and saw Birds of Paradise tour through out Scotland and also Budapest in Hungary and Brescia in Italy during February, March & May and June 2010.

Writing for Change Residency - 'In an Alien Landscape'

We have just completed a very successful first development period with BoP playwright in residence Danny Start on his new script titled 'In an Alien Landscape'. Danny's 18 month writing residency is in association with the Playwrights' Studio and is a direct result of the Changing: Roles event held in 2008.

Mother Courage and her Children

by Bertolt Brecht, new version by Tom Leonard

Directed by Morven Gregor

This exciting new version will reflect on the enduring relevance of Brecht’s play Mother Courage.
Widely known for his dialect poetry, Leonard is also a fierce seeker of the truth. Who better to reveal the truth about the economics of war than Mother Courage?

With minimal, spacious staging the design will look to the future rather than the distant past, as Mother Courage tells her story with a contemporary edge.

Pilot Project - BoP Tuesday

Birds of Paradise recently ran a 6 week pilot drama project 'BOP Tuesdays' for young disabled people aged 17 - 25 years.  Members of the BoP Tuesday group have all had some experience of participating in drama activities.  We are now reviewing the project as part of our Education strategy.
