The Whistleblower by Rachel Amey (2007)

What would you do if your boss was a racist?

Would you stand up to him or her or just keep your head down and hope the whole thing goes away?

Would you be brave enough to take The Whistleblower’s challenge?

Based on true-life experiences of racism, and questions around the implementation of anti-racist policies and whistleblowing, the target audience for the production was public sector workers. The piece encouraged all participants to challenge racism and implement anti-racist policies within the workplace. For this project Birds of Paradise Theatre Company worked in association with the Glasgow Anti-Racist Alliance (GARA).

Whistleblower toured to: Stow College, University of Strathclyde (Jordanhill Campus), SCVO, RSAMD, Celtic Park (celebrating the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination) and Platform (part of The Bridge complex).
